Volleyball Takes First Season Loss To Redeemer In 4 Sets

Won 1st Set - Played Well In Sets 3 and 4

The Mustangs opened strong against conference and cross-town rival Redeemer Christian on Friday night. The 1st set was a see-saw battle that saw the Mustang’ power through to grab the win, 25-23. Redeemer took the next three sets: 17-25, 21-25 and 16-25.

The Mustang’s beat themselves with unforced errors from serve and rally miscommunication. The three-set run by the Lions, were the first set losses of the season for the Mustangs and resulted in the Mustang’s the first loss on the season for the purple and gold. The Mustnags stand at 3-1 on the season.


Elizabeth Marshall was named “Player of the Match” for the Mustangs. Elizabeth tallied 18 kills on 61 attacks, peppering the left side of the Lion defense. Iva Fearon had 4 service aces in the match while Senior Miriam Chong was strong once again on defense at the net with 4 blocks and Mia Lewis, back in action after an ankle sprain, contributed 23 digs for the match.
